Dale Gottlieb's woolen,
hand-knotted Story Rugs are
imaginative, colorful, serious, and
whimsical.
Read More... She has exhibited from
Boston to Bellingham, and is a
shining, joyful woman, with very
deep humane values. As a
multi-dimensional person, she
writes and illustrates children's
books, paints, and designs Story
Rugs to fulfill her destiny as a 21st
century survivor. She uses her
abilities as a tool to create beauty
and a better quality of life.
To Dale Gottlieb it's an honor and a
privilege to be able to use art as a
vehicle for freedom. By working
with a Buddhist family of weavers
who fled Tibet after the Communist
takeover, Dale has begun to
acknowledge and understand her
feelings about the children who
lived and died in concentration
camps during the Nazi Holocaust;
their lives have given her the
privilege of enjoying her freedom
today.
All of Dale's rugs bear the RUGMARK Label certifying that no child labor was employed in the manufacture of her rugs.
